Autumn Sunlight

by

Autumn sunlight not as bright as the prior month's light,
Yet, cast it's golden shadow low.
Summer trees have lost their leaves.
Naked, the wind sways them to and fro.

Pine tree needles are fine and can bear the cold,
While the ground is swirling with leaves of fire thistle and gold.

Oh, time has stood still with captured colors so bright.
Winter's grayness will soon creep over the land and
Put an end to autumn's brilliant light.
