The Beast Incarnate
I grabbed the lion by his mane,
slit open the beast’s belly
and crawled inside,
I stapled his belly back.
I felt the rush of adrenaline,
For the day
I was the king of the jungle
Like the Sheikh in his harem,
the beast within me awaken.
I bite the head of a rattlesnake
and spew its venom on the faces
of those who call themselves
the guardians of the people’s rights
the custodians of the public morality
the saviors of the downtrodden…
They are but the devil’s advocates,
the very reincarnation of evil.
I’ll bask with the crocodiles
by the muddy lagoon
and tear their limbs from limbs apart.
