Beneath the Boundless Sky
I gaze up into the cloudless sky,
A blinding cerulean extending endlessly in all directions.
The brilliance of the vivid blueness hurts my eyes,
Yet I can’t find it within myself to look away.
I lace my fingers into the soft grass beneath me,
Feeling the morning dew under my palms, a cool relief for the ache I cannot grasp.
For the first time in what felt like eternity,
I relax, melting into the welcoming embrace of nature.
