Denial

I know the truth of the words you don't speak
In your actions I find what I seek
And when your gaze rests on me
Your soul reveals what I long to see

Even if you claim that it is not possible
I know that you don't really treat me as a fool
Because your deeds ring true
Of unspoken promises between me and you

And although I would love for honesty in what I hear
I don't want you to speak because I know my fear
Would be reality, so I would rather face this trial
