The Falling Man
In memory of the man captured in one of the most memorable pictures from 9/11
Taking flight like an eagle
Home bound to Heaven
Every fear inside of me calm at last in knowing my fate
Fear not for my soul has made its choice
Accept whatever may come
Long past doubt
Long waited to embrace the truth beyond this worldly plane
I am no longer afraid
Now as I descend to hopefully rise back up and see His holy face
God willing oh yes
May I be forgiven if in taking this way out I was in any way wrong
All I wanted was to escape a slow and horrible death
No, I won't be angry or resentful
I will accept
Whatever judgement
Goodness and mercy hands down upon me
Today
