I Know A Goddess
I know a goddess
A star from the heavens above
From her fingers, flows creation
With her voice, she builds worlds
Her laugh is the sweetest melody
Her smile, a radiant gleam
The moon is jealous of her beauty
The sun of her warmth and light
The tide wishes it had her strength,
Her courage, and her might
Her love is like a lighthouse
Guiding those around her safely to shore
Her joy is contagious
Her heart, an open door
I know a goddess
Whose light shines so bright
That the shadows don't seem that scary
When you're standing by her side
But sometimes, she forgets
How bright her light shines
Sometimes, she forgets
That she's stronger than the tide
She turns her eyes to the constellations
Wondering her purpose in this life
She forgets she's already left her mark,
This goddess of mine,
Her name forever etched into the pages of my life
I know a goddess
Who puts these words to shame
I could never do her justice
With something as simple as ink on a page
I am so truly honored
To call this goddess my best friend
I'll see you in the future
May our stories never end
