I Wandered Lonely as a Thistledown
I wandered lonely as a thistledown– that lost its way completely
Wholeheartedly began to feel– what this planet did create perfectly
There I happened to see beauty; the art of the creation finely
On the other side, hatred and poverty reach at their peak
There I came to witness cruelty, injustice, and blood flows on the street.
Got to know the life of people, their life styles, and talked with them
Grasped beauteous architectural creations of God showered us to know him
Climbed the mountains, inhaled the pleasant smell– wherein I contemplate
Felt the sunlight that passes over the snow; it touched on my body
While breeze hugs the frosty air that I inhale– in which I dreamt of You.
There I drank the crystal clear drops flow from the peak of the hill.
Moved from there, to where I couldn't even know; yet I walked as if I do
Walked long; longing to feel the nature; barefooted I reached somewhere
Where people are rush on daily routines and unending desires
I began my journey; to explore the world, to feel its serenity, and melt in it
I roamed, then ate what I kept in the bag; slept under the tree on a river bank
That leans on the other side of the road, as though it hugs its other kind
It was the day last– in my life and I set off a long journey to explore again;
The metaphysical destinations that the Truth lies over there– the everlasting world.
