I Wish I Dwelled in Heaven Tonight

I wish I could be in heaven tonight

So I could hide the moon to stop the tide

Then after I could make an angel love me

I can make rainbows at a snap of my finger

I could make her and I laugh for an eternity

I’d kiss her lips and my heart would be aflutter

We would have no pride and no baggage

We would just be us, stark naked in the light

To know each other, and no one else would matter

I would not look at anyone else, if it hurt her

For I only hope she would look to heaven to see

What I just saw blazing across the dark night sky

where I wish I could dwell in the majestic heaven 

So that for my love, I could hide the moon to stop the tide.
