Let it be so

Who cares if I but die today
or a day after, for all I care,
There's nothing else to do or say
No thoughts to write or share.

There is no soul’s zenith or nadir,
Death is a fathomless pit, a dead-end—
No heavenly bliss, no hell’s fear,
No one has seen around its bend.

Live life zealously, it’s an absolute end
There’s no afterlife and no heaven,
Past death, who cares where I’m send,
If it’s hell for me, let it be so my haven.

I couldn’t care less if there’s afterlife
I rather enjoy this life here and now,
Neither heaven I crave nor eternal life
but to wing it through this one somehow.

So let me live my last days my way
To drink, dance, cheat, steal and lie,
You are welcome to join, if you may,
I'll feast and frolic, least worried to die.
