Memory Train
I sleep at home, my final resting place,
The train, it comes to bear me on my way;
To gates of light, or pain and wrought despair,
Or the void eternal, I know not which.
Accept my fate, I must, it comes to all,
The train, it bears me on and on away;
My memories, they bring me tears of joy,
The stream of time, it bears them on and on.
I feel a sense of peace, my burdens fall away,
The train, it brings me where I’ve got to go;
A bird, I fly into the endless end,
No light, no pain, no dark despair, I’m just
Free.
