Mirrors

by

There're mirrors all over your house, why so, darling?
Sometimes I just wish they could speak
They'd tell me about how you got all those bruises
You whispered: they'll fade in a week

You still live alone so your mom cannot see them
You can't wear those shorts either way
You're happy, but still want to see if it hurts
To you it's the price you must pay

Your knuckles will burn like a fire, you know that
But still wish that wall was your face
And Nobody knows but you've thought about dying
You've always felt so out of place

Those mirrors have cried as they witnessed you counting
A million flaws on yourself
They told you "out there there are kids that are dying"
And "maybe you should ask for help"

But somehow you still think you know what's best for you
She still doesn't love you, okay?
Your life is so precious, keep telling yourself
It'll end on its own, anyway
