The Ohio incident

I took my depression for a ride
to see what we could find
shot between the eyes
somewhere between California and the Connecticut countryside. 

I want to get better, 
but don't want to be bothered 
so I'll bitch and moan, 
complain the whole way home. 

Two is a bunch and three is a crowd 
so I cut him off 
and watched her drown
said I loved you then, but I'm leaving you now. 

Woke up on the floor to survey the killing space 
broke my jaw on the window slammed in my face. 
I know my body in the dark, 
I hope no one else does.

Went to California for the summertime 
wound up dead in the countryside 
it's no big deal, 
it happens all the time.
