Pantheism
Nature is the manifestation of God,
My God is the natural world,
The spirit of Nature
is interwoven into my spirit --
We evolved together…all, of everything;
In every way we are one,
Nature and I are as body and soul,
When you see me, you see Nature,
When you see Nature, you see us both.
Of all the religious convictions
Pantheism is closest to mankind.
Nature is within us and without,
We breathe, we see, we hear,
We feel, we eat, we drink;
We are born naturally,
Naturally we die.
Not again will I profess
my faith in a personal deity,
Man’s many creeds and cultures
Man’s many religions, rituals and rites --
The creator and breeder of ill-will,
rivalry, retribution, fear and animosity.
I do not aspire for some
imaginary heaven or an afterlife,
And deny all divine revelation.
Everything in Nature is an aspect of God,
God is the Universe -- Eternal, Infinite,
Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresence;
There’s nowhere God is not.
I have nothing more to confess
but my love for Nature,
Which I cherish, revere and vow to preserve –
in all its magnificence, beauty and diversity.
