A Poem With No Words

by

Aren't I the raindrop
That falls in your ocean
Remaining unseen

The sunshine in August
As you're dreaming of winter
And wearing sunscreen

A bad song that's stuck on a loop
a small grain of salt in your soup

A cage
A cage made of flowers
And promises I never made

A DVD player
In a digital world
A song with no lyrics
Nor rhythm or chords

Aren't I the cloud that provides you with shade
On a sunny day
When you wish that the dark skies were clear
As I shyly just disappear

For if you loved May I could just be September
And if you liked red I'd be blue
I've been loved by many from what I remember
But failed to be wanted by you
