Round The Corner
Haunted by a glow bright dawn
green fleck grass yet fresh mown lawn
verses leap on board each day
sunshine casts its lustrous ray
Skies awash with vivid hue
shades on portrait that imbue
clouds of yellow, orange and red
sculpt bold passages ahead
Watch the coal-rim sweet moon peep
loiter when the world‘s asleep
streetlight gaze on ice cool pier
night owls hoot but never fear
Children shriek in rippling stream
playful natter, oak wood dream
mother, father, certain smile
now unwinding for awhile
City dwellers rise again
rushing towards the nearest train
wonder as they often do
round the corner, something new
