The Storm
It was Sunday and now Monday
In the glimpse of an eye
The wind blew all the leaves from the tree
Therefore it was left naked
The rain poured like an ocean into a small cup
Overwhelmingly it spilt over and flooded the town
The sun hid beyond the clouds
Leaving the grass to shiver in the frosty breeze
The air smelt like rain
Yet my nose ran dry
The day went by slowly
As thunder and lightning controlled the skies
The atmosphere around us
Was completely in disguised
