Sun’s Scorching Kisses
Oh, how could anyone embody the sun so bright?
You shine with such brilliance, your rays full of light.
I feel the warmth that trembles through me,
Wondering why others can’t clearly see.
How can they hide in the shadowed night,
While I beg for more of your blinding light?
Your kiss, it scorches, burns like the fire,
I tremble, lost in both pain and desire.
In the presence of what I’ve longed to find,
Is it you? Or just what’s in my mind?
Your hands trace paths across my skin,
Leaving marks where your touch has been.
I cry, but the tears are too quick to fall,
Beneath your touch, I lose it all.
Stop, please, the burn is far too much,
Yet your love leaves scars, each one a touch.
When the sky dims and the clouds appear,
I’m left with your marks, both far and near.
You’ve left me marked, forever to remind,
Of pleasure and pain, both cruel and kind.
You. Again, you. Always, you.
Now I understand why people fear the sun’s hue.
