Thunderclaps
Was my bed shaking at the thunder's bark
Just a frightening gust of fantasy
Or do things upon the earth all quake
When the voices in the sky say "tremble"?
Was the rain that drained the soil
From the pots I never bothered bringing in
Just a figment or a casualty?
Will I wake to find the wind was just a dream?
Is that pity knocking on my door?
I'll wait a bit to rise and see ā
A moment, hours, until dawn
And dawn again until the end
And wait until Iām free.
