True meaning of sorrow
I used to stand on the shore,
With my feet in the sand
And sight to adore.
There I will stand, nevermore.
I used to run across the beach,
Under the summer sun
And the sky within my reach.
Now I'm movable less than a beech.
I used to take a stroll through the streets,
Without a specific goal
And with no fear of defeats.
I was defeated by my own deceits.
I never appreciated the gift I had,
When I got the disease, I was humiliated,
And they drove me mad.
Now, running again is my only fad.
I used to stand on the shore,
With my feet in the sand
And sight to adore.
I'll never be able to stand anymore.
