Uncle Rob

He’s an enormous component of why we know each other so
A relationship of which to never let go
More than friends, but family, in every way
This makes it more difficult to convey
 
Poised and retained, I’ve always observed
Humble and generous without many words
Time rarely a factor when you were together
For there is no scale on earth that your friendship could be measured  
 
I don’t quite know the loss you’ve been shown
Until Pop, I’d never known
The faith and the prayer that it takes to be strong
The day to day struggle just to hold on
 
Emotionally, I look at you and I see him near,
And if nothing else has made one thing clear
You’re tenacious and resilient and you will get through
For we all lift your name in prayer and He covers you
 
God is faithful and unremittingly shows mercy and care
“…He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.”
I pray that you remain strengthened and filled with the Holy Spirit
That you grow even stronger in faith and remain adherent  
 
Cry, run, punch, or do whatever you will
Let the emotions out, and praise Him still
For I believe in our darkest hour His promise is kept
He lifts us to our highest when we are out of our depth  
 
Your vigor is gladdening  
And in my life I pray you remain a part
I pray that God blesses you in ways beyond your imagination
A true inspiration to my heart
