Why Nobody Knows
In life’s many an ironical disguise,
Heartaches in smiles, betraying eyes,
Even life at stake, little did I realize
Where there’s truth there’ll be lies,
That good could come from bad
Sorrow from what makes you glad,
Heaven, hell or afterlife are all hearsay
Life, death, comes and goes but one way.
Trapped in time it’s hard to get away
Beg of you, Lord, I who scorned to pray
I must get out of here, had to sever all ties
Change my identity, assume new disguise.
