You Despise Apple

You despise Apple because it’s everything evil.
A juicy vessel of forbidden,
A red temptress of seduction,
like the lips that sink into it.
You hate it for being bitten.
“Look”, point to its weeping wound,
its effulgent yellow.
“It’s rotten to the core.”
Behind its splendid putrid,
those hushed hiss and slimy scales,
You don’t see.

You despise Her because she’s everything evil.
A voluptuous blur for downcast gaze,
A meek mead for a thousand mouths,
like the apple that dared to know.
You hate Her for she bites.
“Shame”, cry to her ghastly gash,
her sentient crimson
“It’s rotten to the heart. “
Behind her glorious ruin,
those cruel cacophony and arrogant assumptions,
You look away.
