327th Weekly Poetry Contest winner: Light of Loneliness
by Fabiyas M V
If I linger in that dark hemisphere of loneliness, I’ll miss the aurora here. It’s typically a desert. But I can find vibrant blooms among the gloom-black thorns. Solitude unfastens the chains. Evil prances and then gets itself tamed. Thought is washed in the spray of purity. It’s the creative perigee. I manufacture a new ecstasy recycling the debris. All the cacophonies have been muffled. Nature can be heard in the luminescence of silence. I make scaffolding, not cell bars, of this iron state. First published in The Literary Hatchet.
