Saints, apostles, virgins, none—
Holy Mother, Paul or Peter—
Will I kneel to—thou alone
Hast my prayers, thou radiant sun.

Shine upon me, fairest one!
Joy and kisses give me ever!
Brightest sun among the maidens!
Fairest maid beneath the sun!
