Arise and Pick a Posy

Small birds and turtle doves
In every bush a-building,
The sun's just a-glimmering.
Arise, my dear.

Arise and pick a posy,
Sweet lily, pink and rosy;
It is the finest flower
That ever I did see.

Yes, I will pick a posy,
Sweet lily, pink and rosy,
But there's none so sweet a flower
As the lad that I adore.
