On Reproof

AD EADLY Creeper, ever self-renewing,
Is Unreproved, Successful Evil-doing.

Running Fast is vain, O Strong One,
When the Road you're on's the Wrong One.

W HEN Something's Wrong don't call it Right
For fear of seeming Impolite.

T HE Three Great Sins to which our Woes are traced
Are Cruelty and Laziness and Waste.

S HE loves her Children best who gently checks them:
The Hen hurts not her Chickens when she pecks them.
