U RVASI Has F AINTED

Have patience; she recovers, though but faintly.
So gently steals the moon upon the night
Retiring tardily; so peeps the flame
Of evening fires through smoky wreaths; and thus
The Ganges slowly clears her troubled wave,
Engulfs the ruin that the tumbling bank
Had hurled across her agitated course,
And flows a clear and stately stream again.
