Ann and I are drinking a beer
And we're wondering
What you're doing now
Over there
(now while I'm writing this
Not now while you're reading it),
But we'll never know ÔÇô
When you're reading it
You won't remember
What you were doing
When I was writing it
(WAS?
But I AM writing it
NOW!)
And maybe you're wondering too
What we're doing now
Over here
While you're reading it,
And you'll never know
Either.
It's so unfair!
But anyway NOW
Even if it's THEN to you
We're drinking
And thinking of you
Wishing you were here
Or we were there
So our now
Could be your now too.
