Hymn 63

HYMN LXIII.

Come let us join the sacred song
 To our ascended Lord;
Ye saints and angels round his throne,
 And we around his board.

Tho' rais'd beyond the worlds of light,
 His brighter glories shine,
Where purer souls enjoy the sight
 And presence more divine.

Yet here, unseen by mortal eyes,
 The boundless God resides,
Renews the atoning sacrifice
 And o'er the feast presides.

Let every hand that shares the food
 And every heart with fear,
Feel the full presence of the God,
 That spreads his bounties here:

But Oh, the love, the wondrous love
 The bleeding Lord displays,
Shall earth's united songs improve,
 And heaven's eternal praise.
