Thou Shalt Rise

Thou shalt rise, my flesh, thou shalt arise!
New life shall fill thine eyes;
Thy life's First Giver
Will give thee life for ever; —
O praise His Name!

Sown in faith, thou shalt be raised again,
When, after Death's long reign,
J ESUS is reaping
The seed in death now sleeping; —
O praise His Name!

Day of praise! for thee, O joyful Day,
My flesh in hope shall stay;
And when I number
My days of silent slumber,
Thou wakest me!

Then, as they who dream, we shall arise,
Immortal to the skies;
And on that morrow
Shall find our tears and sorrow
All past and gone!

Then, with countless angels we shall sing,
Borne on triumphant wing
Through Heaven soaring,
G OD'S Holy Name adoring
