We are Marching Onward

Marching, we are marching onward,
Underneath the banner of the cross,
With the helmet of salvation,
We shall never fear nor suffer loss;
Foes are strong arrayed before us,
But united in glad chorus,
With our banner floating o'er us,
We may overcome an host.
We will never be discouraged,
In the strength of Christ we march along,
Tho' an host encamp against us,
Still his glory is our joy and song.
He is able to deliver!
Glory to his name forever,
We will follow on and never
Yield unto the powers of wrong
Glory hallelujah, glory hallelujah,
Glory hallelujah, we are marching on
Planted on the field of battle,
Ever shall our glorious banner be,
Until Christ and his salvation
Rules the world in love from sea to sea;
Brave and loyal hearts are swelling,
Glorious promises foretelling,
When with glad immortals dwelling,
We shall sing in victory.
