VERSE

I have learned that love is not a picnic;
Love can do an awful lot of stunts.
Love is like the colic or the measles:
Almost ev'rybody gets it once.
First we fight and argue for an hour,
Then we kiss and sail the sky above;
Just at present life is kinda sour!
What is this thing called love?

And you know darn well that it's you again,

I'm alone again,

And I'm out around on my own again,
'Cause my mockingbird has flown again,

Though I aggravate you,
Honest, I'm dyin' to say,
That it's new again!
You again!
And we'll meet today at two again.
But tonight we'll fight and be through again,
And I'll be blue again.
