The Deep dusk drifted down

The deep dusk drifted down,
A star dreamed in the sky,
Heart to fond heart alone
We were, my bride and I.

At dawn a wisp of light
Came flick'ring faint and fair,
To kiss her bosom's white,
Her lips, her eyes, her hair.
