Foreign exchange student

I saw one this morning,

standing in line for coffee

in the student center

I said,

hey, do you go here?

It was a freshman, but I said

you look like a junior at least

I guess it's the tendrils

it was majoring in zoology

hope you don't have to dissect

any of us, ha ha

I said

it had a job

as a lab assistant

reconstructing bodies

from mass graves

we resettle them

near the galactic core,

it said

they seem to like the light
