The Bravest Warriors

war that rages outside of our doors
compared to the one in our head
Soldiers with guns settle the score
As we bandage wrists that have bled

Eighty pound gear carried on backs
the weight of the world in our mind
directionless men follow their maps
But we are the ones left behind

The illness spreads like fire
As your gearing up for war
Depression is such a liar
but you learned to ignore

we are the soldiers of fortune
you are the soldier of choice
yet we are the ones left open
while you are given a voice

We both are brave warriors
pushing the battle aside
Tearing down the barriers
To heal the wounds inside

All we want is to survive
were all playing this game
so please come back home alive
and we will promise to do the same.
