The woman who sat on a bench
in the twilight garden told me to wait a little while,
The woman who could see
the dark times told me to be patient,
Soon the forest would reveal its dark secret.

I sat on the bench with her,
There was a tranquil silence,
Does quietude open the door to the forest?
Does serenity enhance the forest’s response?
Why didn’t she give heed to my questions?

She looked at me and told me that it was time,
I stood up and walked towards the forest,
A moon-lit path appeared through the forest,
As I walked through,
I heard rumbling and thumping sounds like acceptance drum beats.

The strange sounds faded as I moved further,
I hadn’t been as fearful as I was,
Suddenly I heard whispers,
They pierced through me,
I felt like I was being torn apart.

Some creatures appeared out of the blue,
I became cold with fear,
A creature came out of their midst,
He handled over something to me,
They were what I was looking for,
They were the papers that mysteriously disappeared from my room.

The moon-lit path led me out of the forest,
The woman smiled when she saw me,
She told me that a dark villain had hidden the papers in the forest,
She smiled, glowed and disappeared,
I wondered what had brought me that way,
I wondered what had summoned me to the twilight garden.
