Get Out of My Gene Pool

Listening to the radio...
is this stuff for real?
A man used his rifle to quiet
a neighbor's dog--
but the man next door is dead.

Another shoots at targets
in his backyard...
and kills a seven-year-old
on a trampoline
down the street.

And as I wonder
at the stupidity
of men--
the guy in the car
next to me
has a crossword puzzle 
on his steering wheel...

They just don't make
people like they
used to.
