Admirings of Christ & longings to be with him.
Oh my redeemer dear
How excelent thou art
Oh that thou wouldest, now draw neer
To iradiate every part
Oh sinner why so loth
To come, and take a part
His name's an oynment poured forth
It Chears, and glads the hart
Oh heavens, blush before
The brightnese of this sun
Which still shall shine, for ever more
When sun, & moon be gone.
Oh when, shall I goe see
The glory of this sight
The world thou knowst, is durt to me
Compared, with thy light
Thou art a mase, of love
Oh sweet, and sacred, dove
Oh when shall I, with joy, remove
To him, that dwels above
Then shall I sitt, and sing
With hapy, sinlese spirits
Thou art oh Lord, my god, and king
Oh sweet fruit, of thy merits
I wait, for that sweet day
When I shall sin no more
When sorow shall be done away
And I shall still adore
Those whom thou lovest best
Thou calst for soon away
To take their everlasting rest
Where joys, doe ne're decay
Ther's but a litle space
And thou shalt follow after
Thosse blessed soulls, that have through grace
Exchang'd their sighs, for laughter
Then Chear up, drooping soull
The time is very short
Upon his word, & promise roull
I doe thee now exhort
Let Christ, have his due praise
Whilst thou hast any breath
Both now, & ever, all thy days
Till thou art Laid in earth
Then shalt thou blese his name
To all, eternity
With saints, spreading his gloryous fame
With pleasing, harmony.
