Only the roses will hear;
Dear,
Only the roses will see!
This once — just this!
Ah, the roses I wis
They envy me!

Here is a half-blown spray;
Say
This shall Love's anadem be!
A rose-strung wreath
For thy brow, and beneath
A rose for me!
