Thou dost oh Lord, prepare our hart
somtimes before we goe
To hear thy word, and take a part
of the seed, though dost sow.

Somtimes in duty, before hand
thou dost our harts soe fit
That when wee hear, we understand
what thou didst meane by it.

Somtimes thou dost imbitter sin
to us, whilst we doe pray
And in thy word comfort doth spring
whilst grace, thou dost display

Somtimes thou setest love on fire
drawing us after thee
Then thy word, carieth on desire
that we may filled bee.

Somtimes we'r filled full of fear
that we ar none of thine
Then in thy word, thou dost us chear
with thy love, as with wine.

Somtimes thou dost the hart prepare
by laying in the dust
When thou intendest somthing rare
that prid, may not forth burst
