66 All Wants Made Up in Christ -
All wants made up in Christ
Thou draws'd a vaill over my grace
tis a created thing
That itt may not take up Christs place
my uncreated king
I see my self needy, & poor
I will not therfore starve
Whilst I to Christs abundant store
may freely goe and carve
When nothing, I can see but night
and cloudy all about
I'le goe to Christ, who is my light
he will on me, shine out
When I feell, my self dull, & dead
like one without a hart
I'le make out, to, my dearest head
life to me, he'l impart
When I see litle grace, within
my stock decreasing low
I'le run to Christ, my constant spring
where grace doth overflow
When I find litle life, or heat
and know not how to pray
I'le look unto this mercy seat
and will not turn away
Justise, the law, Saten, and sin
I'le turn them o're to thee
All accusations, they can bring
thou'lt answer them, for mee.
When they acuse, I'le say to them
goe to Christ my surety
If he cannot, answer you, then,
I am content to dye
But this I know, Lord, cannot be
whatever they can cull
All depts ar satisfied by thee
and Justise, to the full.
I'le never seek that, in my self
which is not to be found
I will from Christ, my comforts delve
And then, they will be sound
Eternity, is litle enough
to praise thee for thy Christ
His macthlese love, & grace, & worth
can n'ere be fully pris'd
Thou draws'd a vaill over my grace
