94 The Day of Judgment July 9 -
The day of Judgment July 9
Oh how doth it amaise, to think of thy
Tribunall seat, and awfull majesty
When thou shalt on thy regall throne ascend
And all thy glorious angels thee attend
When those, great trumpetors of heaven, shall
Summon before thee, all, both great, & small
Both high, and low, both rich, and poor which here
Have acred, in this lower hemisphere
Though to the rocks, & mountains, we should cry
We cannot, be hid, from a deity
But all must give, a strict account what they
Have thought, or spock, or done, in this their day
Thou wilt each hidden, cecreet thought descry
By thy severe, hartsearching, scrutiny
Each hiden work, shall then be brought to light
And shall appear to men, & angells sight
No place shall then be found, wherin to hide
But each this fiery triell, must abide
And from thy sentence, ther is no apeall
Acordingly, must be, our woe, or weall
The practicall, beleife of this, would make
Us to a strickt, and holy life, betake
And strive to get the Judg now beforhand
To be our freind, & on our side, to stand
That we may'nt be condemned with the world
Which shall out of his presence, then be hurld
But may with his, march up triumphantly
To live with him, to all eternity.
