Against Sardinius the Leacher

A LBERTUS M AGNUS saith that sparrowes liue
Scarce three yeares out (we needes beleeue him must)
And for the same this naturall reason giues,
Because so oft they doe the act of lust:
I maruell then Sardinius is so old,
When he is cocking still with euery trull;
Alas, the reason easily may be told,
For hee's no sparrow but a common bull:
Then turne him to the kyne, God blesse the beasts!
For they the kill cowes company detests.
