A Boy's Heaven

Memory the picture brings
Fancy drew of Heaven's joy,
For a solitary boy
Dreaming of transmundane things.

Not a golden city's glare,
Pearly gates and jasper walls,
Splendid in the light that falls
Dazzling down the crystal air;

But an Eden realm of nooks,
Drooping vines and babbling streams,
Airy harps and twilight beams,
Angel loves and story-books.
