Beauty is calling, calling down the world
And I must follow after,
For embers of undying dreams are blown
To flame and golden laughter,

And though I follow barefoot and alone
The echoes that are ringing
Across the shadowed valleys and the hills
Where beauty still is singing,

My bleeding feet shall find the rainbow's end
And I shall be content,
For, having followed beauty all my days,
I'll count my life well spent.
