Ha'st thou not oft imparted Eloquence
To the strong-pleading Orator's Descant?
Ha'st thou not oft improv'd the Poet's Sense,
Rais'd him to Fire, and made his Lays inchant?
Bards oft to Thee, more than the Muses, owe;
Thou giv'st the Theme, and mak'st the Numbers flow.
