A Character

Say no more that Justice's blind —
This a very Argus kind;
He can find, or make a Flaw
In the clearest Point of Law:
Then his Breeding so polite,
Fitting Lord, or City Knight ;
So observant of his Speech,
Truth 's above his honest Reach ;
He denies, with such a Grace,
What before, with modest Face ,
Roundly he affirms a Fact,
(Founded on a recent Act ;)
Happy B***** L what's to fear,
Charter'd by your own D******?
