I ken your worth,
" Hot wells " of Bristol
That bubble iorth
As clear as crystal;...
En parlour snug
I'd wish no hotter
To mix a jug
Of Rum and Water.

Both Eobe, young chief,
One's bosom ruffle?
Would any feel
Rine for a stuffle?
The simplest plan
Is just to take a
Well stiffened can
Of old Jamaica.

Benath the zone
Grog in a pail or
Rum — best alone —
Delights the sailor.
The can he smills
Alone gibes bigour
In the Antilles
To white or nigger

Thy claims, O fount,
Deserbe attention.
Hence toward count
On classic mention.
Right pleasant stuff
Thine to the lip is....
He 'be had enough
Of Aganippe's.
