Come, Soufi, off for ever Fraud's patchcoat pied draw we!

Come, Soufi, off for ever Fraud's patchcoat pied draw we!
The line of " cancel " over The writ of pride draw we!

The convent's alms and off'rings, Come, let us spend on wine!
Dissembling's cassock thorow The tavern-tide draw we!

Leap we the convent barriers And from the rival's halls
Wine plunder and from cloister, Come, forth the bride draw we!

Fate's secret, screened and hidden In the Invisible,
Its cheek from, drunkard-fashion, The veil aside draw we!

Come, let us do; confusion We else shall reap what day
To the next world our chattels, With death to guide, draw we.

If Paradise to morrow They grudge us, boys from this
And girls from t'other heaven, With us to bide, draw we!

One glance from that her eyebrow, And with that moon-like mall
Of hers, the sphere-ball hither, Its course awried, draw we!

Beyond our proper limit Are vauntings such as these:
The feet without our blanket, O Hafiz, why draw we?
