Day-Dream

A pale girl, naked,
On a black-maned horse
Rides, by a foaming
Water-course:
With forests behind her,
Silent and black;
She lifts no finger,
She looks not back.
But onward, onward,
A slender ghost,
Rides; and in shadows
Again is lost.
